  Just been for a birthday meal. Food hard and tough and been sat around to long. Waitress chloe was lovely. We had to talk to the manager - who couldn't even manage him self out of a bag. Will not be coming back again.

  Usually very busy and loud but how can you complain when roast is done so well. The perfect place to go for a delicious, mouth-watering roast with ALL the trimmings. I'm already getting hungry again just thinking about it.
  
  Parking is easy, good selection of drinks and a clean interior.

  Service was palletable however the banter between me and the waiter seemed slightly forced and the jokes fell on deaf ears with many of my family members, especially my grandmother when he joked that she looked like the queen. Now we come to the food. The main part of the evening, it being a restaurant. This was very nice however I was allowed too much on my plate. They should prepare and plate the meals themselves to make sure that people have suitable portion sizes rather than the extortionate portion size that I, and much of my family, experienced. How has nobody invented a system by where they control the portion sizes for you? Very old fashioned style of service with reference to the 'carvery' as I felt my stomach beginning to bulge during the meal. It being Christmas I had already eaten enough to feed a small African village. Many have said that gravy really tops off a good meal and I wasn't disappointed by this specific standard of meat based sauce. All in all quality trip to Toby carvery, thank you!
